We want to believe our system is the best, but at some point, isn't this cope?

At least for the Murkan experience in Vietnam. To believe in democracy, implement it somewhere else!

Same applies to the Murkan diversity experiment. We must prove individualism and equality... or we'll start to doubt, in the darkest hours of the night.

When i was at college (early 90's we had a range of differnet cultures in my group, we got on with each other, they were a great bunch, we had a few muslims went off on a friday to do their thing, we were all fine with it.

We were doing engineering, which one day we had a big laugh when the teacher put a picture of a screw on the board, with lables, the very end was called 'land' which is Indian for penis, understandably that group just started laughing, once challenged to explain what was fully we all had a laugh.

Something then went wrong with our society where we are too afraid in case we offend.

That happens when diversity reaches a certain point (about 20%) and suddenly groups are fighting for power.
