Did a science lesson today w/ the kids on the scientific method, forming a hypothesis & using results/data to either confirm or change your hypothesis. Used the current data disproving that vaccines prevent catching or transmitting covid-19 as an example of results disproving a hypothesis. Brought up that those continuing to push vaccination are not following science. My son shouts his new vocab word, “Hey they’re QUACKS!”

Yep ppl who push a narrative over science are quacks. Raising ‘em right!

As far as I understand it, a vaccine stops YOU developing more serious illness. A vaccine will not stop you passing something on to others.

@zleap

A vaccine gives your body a “test run” with the pathogen. In theory you should develop enough antibodies that if/when you encounter the wild version of the pathogen you don’t develop illness symptoms. The Covid vaccine being pushed globally has proven itself to provide almost no “test run” protection for the actual variants in circulation. In fact, virologists are proving vaccinating during a pandemic has actually put evolutionary pressure on the virus resulting in the variants we have

@zleap

Also if you don’t develop illness symptoms then you can’t infect others. However, in many cases those who are vaccinated become asymptomatic carriers. For example, studies have proven that baboons injected with the whooping cough vaccine are actually more likely to be infected with whooping cough, develop no symptoms, but have heavy viral loads in their throats that they spread to others. Our current vaccine program is medieval at best, kept that way bc of pharma profit.
