@zleap @zs I can look out the window & see the Beatrice windfarm. I can walk 5 minutes in any direction & see other windfarms. Yet, we have the highest electricity rates in the UK, supposedly because we are "remote"; in other words they calculate the cost of sending electricity to London & back again, & charge us for that. That's not how electricity actually works though; try knocking down the Anglo-Scottish interconnector & see who's "remote".
