So when the British government are hauled in to court by the UN over kicking out all asylum seekers who cross in boats, even those who are in danger of being executed in their home country, will the BBC report this or show something else. ?
As soon as certain media report things like this they cause panic, which then results in empty shelves.
@timsmalley Thanks to our government employment application forms ask if I am eligible to work in the UK and if I need a work permit.
While I understand the need for this some of he language just seems rather hostile
@zleap I know, my wife does not hold a British passport but has been a permanent resident for almost 20 years. We have been through the rigmarole of converting from a wet-ink permanent residence to BRP very recently due to a change in the law that came in from April 2022.
@zleap thankfully, my wife's employer was very supportive and held the role open for her while the BRP application was processed.
@zleap who knows. I hope they will report that they've been hauled over the coals... but I'm not confident they will report it accurately.
Much like the tomatoes being blamed on 'adverse weather in Spain'. I'm sure it played a part, but it's funny how Spain, and even Ukraine, had tomatoes on their supermarket shelves.
