NASA revealed a never-before-seen-image from the James Webb Space Telescope during their SXSW Keynote this morning in Austin.

The image shows the luminous, hot star WR 124, at center. WR 124 is a Wolf-Rayet star, among the most luminous, massive, and short-lived stars known. WR 124 will be in the Wolf-Rayet phase of its existence for only a few hundred thousand years. When this phase ends, WR 124 will end in a spectacular supernova explosion.
