More smoothbrain Republicans just voted against school funding
Ohio: A parents group that exists to attack our trans kids rallied on Facebook then distributed fliers (below) demanding the town reject the needed $300K for school improvements
One parent asserted tolerance at school is “Luciferian”
Another wrote “I am hoping this meeting will not only address transgender but also the kids who think they are dogs or cats”
We’re being held hostage by regressives
Every time I read about stuff like this, evil, bigoted people are ALWAYS on facebook, in the UK facebook is apparently used by Parents who have had their kids taken in to care, to gang up and threaten social workers and their families, Groups on facebook co-ordiate their vile hatred on Facebook. People seem to share all sorts of illegal or questionable content, use facebook to target and humiliate people, share mass shootings (cite New Zealand). This platform is meant to have policies that forbid this sort of thing, but they are clearly about as effective as trying to paint a wall with water, as in NOT EFFECTIVE.
Odd how Facebook with it's billions can't do something as simple as moderation, makes being part of the Fediverse that we are able to do two things, 1, admit it is not perfect here, and 2, we can moderate content far far better, or seem to be able to, because of 1, we are always looking for ways to develop these moderation tools and methodologies to make them better.
Fantastic work by all admins and moderators who care about this, keep up the good work.
@zleap I left my head off when I heard Facebook would remove its news feature to punish countries that want to regulate. Like please do.
That sounds like an arrogant company who thinks it is above the law and legal system.
I agree, roll on the online safety bill, too.
