Problem with the west is we went through this rediculous phase where everyone 'had' to be a winner, to avoid upsetting people
I think the idea was that kids were protected from losing. Thing is you win and lose things if you win, great, if not in terms of a football game, you get back in to the practice sessions and work on the aspects of the game that didn't work as intended for example.
This same idea is then applied to interviews for jobs or courses, you prepare & research the employer, but may not get the job, if you can get feedback you can work out what you need to work on next time you get an interview..
So you pick yourself up and just start again, rather than deciding to give up and hide under a rock.
Makes me wonder sometimes if any of this plays that small part, if a whole generation were taught you can't lose, then for the party to lose the election it is harder to accept if you have never had to suffer defeat before.
Good point, but trump is clever enough to be able to tap in to things like this, and exploit it, and not care about the consequences.
@zleap 100%.
@zleap I hear you, but given Trump really started — or at least legitimized— this path of zero acceptance of loss in politics and he’s in his 70s, he would’ve missed this generational mindset.
