Maybe with the federal case, more people see how they were impacted, with the NY case, it is hardly going to impact most Americans direct. The federal case about trying to overturn the election this is more serious in terms of democracy.

If Jan 6 had worked then we would be looking at Trump in the white house right how as president, facing a 3rd term in office despite not being allowed to serve a 3rd term, what would he do there, sign an exec order to keep him in the white house? Nobody knows the consequences of that yet.
