I have primarily been a SUSE, Debian, and Arch user, myself.
But I decided I wanted something immutable, as really I wanted the automatic updates, but with the safety of applying those updates. Additionally, I have a family member who isn't tech smart and would happily click on either "OK" or "Cancel" without reading anything, simply because "it was in their way."
SUSE lacks direction at the moment. Even they don't know or will not acknowledge their long term plans.

Vanilla OS, was going to be my choice. I was sold on Vanilla OS. They are based on Ubuntu, but have decided to switch to Debian, but the development has gone to sh-t. I have never seen a development go backwards and devolve. Their latest (5) releases wouldn't even boot. -- Excuse the rant. 😂
So I decided to take up the Fedora challenge. So far it has been a pleasant surprise. I picked Fedora Kinoite as I am a KDE user (it's still SilverBlue).
Linuxmint is excellent
It really is not. 😂
Mint is a copy based upon a copy. Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu which is based upon Debian, which often leads to it having whatever issues can be found in either, plus its own
It is poorly supported, for example, their LMDE release, which should be more reliable since it is based solely on Debian, has a Bluetooth bug exclusive to Mint. It was reported early (issue 20) in beta 1, 2, and ignored until after the final release. I don't think they've addressed it still
Ah ok, I am running 21.2 here, fresh (ish) install.
I know, I used Mint years ago, so just gone back to it on a new system and have Debian on my netbook.
