There are no words to describe horrors in Israel & Gaza. Politicians have rightly condemned atrocities, & opposed antisemitism & islamophobia. Now responsibility is to do all we can to de-escalate violence. We need total ceasefire now.

Israel screwed their own pooch with their response. We have held Israel in a SACRED spot for a very long time and excused so so many atrocious things they have done. But now the world understands that Israel is capable of GENOCIDE and not just capable but WANTS TO COMMIT GENOCIDE.
Which for me makes them no better than Hamas.
So this new Hamas/Israel is two terrorist fighting each other and killing all kinds of innocents in the name of some bloody ugly God that insists on washing the ground with dead bodies sacrifices.
How I personally feel about Israel means nothing. But my opinion changed when the people that had genocide committed on them, committed genocide on their enemies.
Tit for tat....I no longer feel Israel is innocent.
I agree, they are targeted civilians in the hope they may hit Hamas, and claim Hamas are using people as human shields.
A professional military would have boots on the ground and search and check for Hamas members before acting.
Targeting civilians which means CHILDREN AND BABIES.
Hamas slaughtered humans and Israel is slaughtering humans. There is NO side to take aside from AGAINST KILLING HUMANS.
I agree, This needs to be solved with dialogue and proper elections in Gaza which I can't see happening any time soon.

The UK press is good at reminding people of what Hamas has done, how evil they are etc and seem less concerned about what is happening to innocent people in Gaza, as if all people in Gaza are Hamas (which is certainly not the case)
Maybe we need to up the rhetoric, Gaza is no longer the worlds largest open prison camp, it is the worlds largest open air CONCENTRATION CAMP.
One of the reports on all this said the Gaza / Isreal border is being watchhed 24/7 anyone who tries to come over is at risk of being hit by the military.
Maybe this is why Hamas won't release the captives, as they risk them being killed by Israel if they try and drive them to the border and supposed safety.
Unless there is a total ceasefire, no one can be driven, walked, or take any means of transport over the border to Israel.
Perhaps something Israel and the west should ponder.
I fully agree.
There are only two outcomes in this war. Everyone dies slowly or everyone dies quickly.
And the world watches on as it happens.
Tomorrow (Friday) is another day of rage, I hate to think what is coming.

My horrible thought on this part of the world is that they are going to go to war. You know, the war they actually have never stopped fighting even though we pretend it stopped. The big difference being, as i mentioned, the sympathy for Israel has been squandered. At this point in time the one irony missing in all of this is there is not 6 million Palestinians to slaughter.
