When Iranian terrorists took over an Embassy in the UK in the early 80s we sent in the SAS to
deal with the terrorists and save the hostages.
I am sure the RAF could have easily flown over and bombed the whole building and killed everyone, as this is not acceptable we went with the harder option to preserve the lives of hostages

The American response to 9/11 was Shock & Awe.
The Israeli response to its own 9/11 has been pretty much the same.
No lessons learned.
