@Dee It would be good to have a different logo for different times of the year, it changes over christmas to a cone with a santa hat, so you may be on to something, custom vlc logos.

@nekojanai I can't afford this right now, however I have just send a message to a group with a link to an article on the plan for facebook to make an instagramn for kids and suggested as we need to have conversations on privacy but also suggested we need to take back control with the use of mastodon etc and self host, so this is something I can promote, maybe DM me and I will see if I can at least spread the word (as you are also uk based it may help) I can promise anything though but we can try.

@thor usually that i a good way to isolate an issue, we tried to get a minecraft server working on windows, (LAN) so turned off the firewall, got it working , turned firewall back on and opened up the right ports.

Is the VPN unit powerful enough for all the users, esp if streaming video, could use up more bandwidth.

don't Norway, Sweden, and even Iceland have a similar design though too, a few have the corner to corner cross over too.

@xpil@fosstodon.org If they were diamond coated then cutting stone may be possible,. not in the way you cut paper but there are some scissors that we can use to cut plastic pipe so maybe they would look different but still cut.
