Putin possibly has Cancer, there is of course no easy way to actually verify that, but he needs to be taken out internally, to avoid serious escalation.
NATO still needs to be careful.
Perhaps we need to look at what China is proposing, they seem pro-peace as it is in their (and everyones elses interest) as they are no NATO their boots on the ground as possible peacekeepers could work, could be interesting that though.
As a disclaimer to myself : I am in no way advocating this should happen, but if he is a danger to national securitry, I am sure the CIA etc are capable of doing the honours and I am sure there are 'plans' to ensure he is kept silent one way or another.
It is NOT just US security and safety at stake here, the whole of the west, esp NATO could be at risk.

I'm sure my mastodon reach is nearly non-existent, buuut.
I'm strapping on my job helmet. Looking for someone with infrastructure/sre chops? I’ve done a lot of different things including networking, systems automation (terraform, shell, others), refining development environments with Nix. Autoscaling CI builders (didn't even use containers!), automating manual processes to free up QA time, those are the kinds of things I dig.

It’s great to see Mastodon adding so many new people every day. There’ve been a few speed wobbles, but the infrastructure has expanded to cater to an influx of over 10.5 million people in six months. And, there’s no ambiguity about who owns your content, you do.
With so many #accessible options and an increasing number of individuals here, plus the strong commitment by many moderators to Alt text, it really has become the best social network for blind and sighted people to interact fully and equally.

As the effects of ecological degradation become more pronounced (harder to ignore), more people will lose faith in their leaders.
Basically, it will become more obvious that (many of) their leaders are charlatans that have been exploiting them and didn't see the climate catastrophe coming (cos they're delusional ignorant & biased "leaders")

Given Putins ability to silence critics / enemies, perhaps taking a leaf out of his book and putting a bullet (or two) through Trumps head will ensure silence.
I am not an expert but a president has acces to all sorts of military and government secrets right ?, layout of the whitehouse, and other buildings, could be very handy to an enemy wanting to take out the US quickly in some way.

If Trump went over to Russia, it could be very bad for the US, he knows too much about stuff so he would be real asset to Russia, China and his buddy in North Korea.

I just made a blog post for tomorow where I have done just that as I added a link to the NASA account as they posted a link about black holes.
Give me King Charles III over Trump or DeSantis any day. As heads of state our monarchy have led this nation through dark times, when we needed a voice to say we can get through a pandemic the Queen provided that.

US corps care more about a single bottle of glue than all of you put together.
You may have a good point there, perhaps we need to start a campaign to get mastodon added to some basic IT courses, or rather get them to teach Mastodon rather than twitter.

Wouldn’t it be funny if the way we finally get gun control is because these random shootings cause a delivery person shortage and corporations like Walmart, Amazon, Uber, DoorDash, Dominos, etc. start lobbying the government.
