Infuriating! They really can't tell good from bad, common from masterwork. To them, a slip-cast lawn gnome is on the same level as a signed and dated Picasso print.
When you see people at work who are Master crafts people, what always comes across is the love, passion and attention to detail they put in to every job. This can be metalwork, wood work, fixing clocks or other items, it takes years of learning, practice and doing the job. The same for a good photographer, they know and understand their subject and can produce fantastic work as a result.
Ai lacks all of that, they get asked to produce X and just do it, there is no emotion that goes in to what is produced.
Making mistakes is inevitable, what will be most important is how we recognise those errors and work to resolve the issues caused, and then work to ensure we learn from them. We are a community, if we learn then that is one of the most important things that can happen here.

The Scottish Government said it is “absolutely committed” to resisting NHS privatisation after a Ferret investigation into private healthcare led to more than 1,000 people signing an open letter to the health secretary.

We have a few BookWyrm ( https://joinbookwyrm.com/ ) users on here, so there may be some interest, it may be worth seeing what already exists here in that area too.

Hmm. Would there be interest in a Mastodon Book Club? 🤔

Hi, people in the UK!
I just got a bill for $3,001.36, which is for one visit to the hospital. That amount is what I have to pay *after* insurance.
Vote the Tories out and protect your #NHS. The system in the US is the system they want for you. They want a profit-making health service because they'd own it and you'd be making them richer every time you go to the doctor.
And people in Scotland: in the long term Labour are not going to save the NHS. Vote #SNP. Make Scotland independent!

Time to follow the example of Iceland, let em fail, prosecute those at the top. Simple.
Looks like the US regulator is investigating them for not protecting children properly too

Facebook/Meta laid off 11,000 people and now is doing 40 BILLION in stock buybacks. None of these companies care about cost cutting, they saw an opportunity to suppress wages without any criticism and they took it. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/01/facebook-parent-meta-announces-40-billion-stock-buyback.html
I am not going to bother with the local elections, however come the general election people will be ready with their photo ID and their eyes firmly set of getting rid of the current lot of politicians running the country.
The fact you even have to explain this show how mediocre the education system is when it comes to IT.

We need responsible people to STOP pushing only #Mastodon as this is not helping, just look at the SPAM currently spewing from this process. With this mess we are building a codebase and an instance that are "too big to fail" this is absurdly stupid and not needed.
Please link and talk about the #openweb or the #fediverse to start to compost the mess you are, making, thanks.
