While I am sure we all wish her all the best in her new job, I feel the damage is done, it is so far gone, trying to fix Twitter and all the issues, Musk has caused may be impossible without drastic actions.
The current users who have the freedom to share their hate and malice are not going to give up without a fight, if most are mysogamists she will be the target of so much hate, threats and perhaps even physical violence.
Who is she going to hire as moderators? Who would take on the job knowing full well what they are going to be exposed to. Who is liable when people start to bring civil cases for the impact to mental health. (facebook has already faced this).
My main concern will be that twitter fails totally, or is simply shut down, leaving all these hateful people to gravitate elsewhere, (fedi perhaps), causing a lot of work for aready stretched moderators and admins.
Reminds me of the Disney cartoon where there are 4 vultures, I think it is Dumbo, as they sing they will have seen everything, when I see an elephant fly.
But yes, vultures may not be that good looking, but they do perform an essential function. The former is the issue, given people are obsessed with how they and others look.
Thankfully nonsense such as selfies have not quite made it here yet.
Fully agree here, as I said even the BBC showed his response, RIP respectable journalism.

Don’t Say You Haven’t Been Warned About Trump and 2024
CNN’s awful town hall with the former President heralds a disastrous election year to come.
"The shocking revelation on Wednesday was not what he said, it was that he was given the platform to say it."

I will boost this for now, if I think of something will respond, I am sure there are people on here from Europe who may be able to help / respond.

Dear friends,
I suck at networking -because Im a laboratory scientist who mostly keeps to himself- and need some advice on two fronts:
1. How do I get more involved in local political activism? As in, how do I meet people and remain in contact with them?
2. I ultimately want to leave the US to finish out my career and retire abroad, but have run into a dead end on the path I was pursuing, and need to find someone in Europe, preferably The Netherlands, to help me job-seek. Any advice?
Same here, I like being in control of my own system
I would not exactly trust their intention. If they can come here across vast distances, they are far more powerful than we are. SO why would they be interested in us?
Even the BBC are showing what trump has said, about the Trial.
Given he was found liable what he says clearly warrants a 2nd lawsuit.
I am sure this lady is not a wack job, but I guess when it comes to that Trump is a world expert.
Why are we giving this individual any air time. It just gives him the attention he craves.

Sounds like a good plan, I am not a doctor but am in the UK so happy to boost and maybe promote in other ways. Do you have a peertube account for sharing any video content too.

"After four generations of modular smartphones, Fairphone is turning its repairable design smarts to headphones. Meet the Fairbuds XL, a €249 (£219) pair of over-ear wireless noise-canceling headphones that are designed to be easy to repair when parts break or wear out over time. They’re available from today in European markets, but much like Fairphone’s existing smartphones, they won’t be sold in the US."
