@zleap @shauny @gerrymcgovern I support non-profit organisations in Scotland who would love to have your old mobile phones! Anything under 8 years old is useful in #DigitalInclusion work to support people in poverty.
I wonder if we could start something on here with a tag line #RecycleOldPhone so people can help others get tech they need.

If you live in Southern #California, including major population centers, you should have a go bag prepared in case you lead to leave with short notice from flash flooding due to #Hurricane #Hilary. Most folks in major cities will be okay but it’s impossible to know right now exactly where problems will happen.
Preparation now saves lives. This will be a rain event that, especially for the desert, will be unparalleled in the modern era.

Some COVID minimizers keep saying we can ignore COVID because we have vaccines. Not only is that untrue because layers of protections are most effective, but due to the end of the public health emergency, and greed of pharma companies, many people can't even afford the vaccines.
So the X app needs to be removed from the istore then, I guess google have a similar policy on the play store too. .

Boycott Nike, there are some good smaller kit suppliers out there perhaps it is time the big boys were confined to history.

The BBC have a lot ot answer for, there is scandal after scandal regarding staff behaviour.
Someone needs to get a grip on all this.
Same here, I like it here, where we talk about real issues such as the climate crisis etc and this requires, thought, and some degree of science understanding.
I wonder if the fact that Kardashians are so popular we have people in the US voting for Trump / GOP and seemingly being clueless about the science behind climate change.

When I started college in the 80s, tuition quadrupled before I graduated. Minimum wage was $3.35 and a semester hour was $4. When I graduated, minimum wage was the same, but a semester hour was $16/hr.
Fast forward 30 years when I go back to school to take 2 classes. Minimum wage was $7.25, a semester hour was $267. I spent about $2000 for 2 classes.
More people with more money to spend would improve the economy tremendously.
