In the last week, Iowa Republicans have made it clear they like Trump calling fellow Americans “vermin” to be “rooted out” and support his clams that immigrants are “poisoning the blood” of the nation. Now Iowa has opted out of the national program that subsidizes low-cost school lunches to provide poor kids with nutrition.
Seems like “Iowa nice” needs to be swapped out another word starting with ‘N’ — one that’s a bit more teutonic.

To be fair I responded to a user on here the other day who was in the situation where they NEED an income just to survive, being on Twitter / substack gives them some degree of income, moving away they take a huge hit financially.
They dont' want to be there due to what is happening but finding it much harder to move away from these platforms.
We need to find a model on here, so people are able to move and maintain their income, so they can buy food, pay rent.
The Rich can afford to leave, a lot of people can't. Lets see how we can build a model that works for people.

Lonely this Christmas? Not at the Northern Ireland pub whose £700 ad went viral.
Charlie’s Bar in Fermanagh has become a symbol of action against isolation. And on Christmas Day, as every year, it will open its doors.

We hear about media literacy today. Media literacy is not simple awareness to one's own belief system expressed in media. Media literacy is a keen ability to accurately assess what is [not] being said through [digital] media.
For example, this news aggregation page and media literacy considerations.
Tags attached to news articles: Helpful, yet hold bias.
Deliberate headline word choices: Select audiences targeted.
Red flags: On misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation.
I was thinking the same thing, :)
