I did my GCSE exams back in 1991, back then I think hand written essays were normal, we could type essays as long as we also submitted handwritten essays at the same time. I think the idea was that it provided evidence that it was truly your own work.

For the sake of those people who actually do the work for these exams in 2023, something HAS to be in place otherwise it simply devalues all the hardwork you put in. People who are academically inclide will write, those who struggle but want to do well will write, the lazy will use some other form of tech to in effect cheat, Why should the former two lose out to cheats and liars.

Article on BBC Breakfast this morning looking at Organ donation within the Black and Asian communities. Discussing some of the barriers to why people are not coming forward.

Important issue as lives depend on organ donation but organs must of course, be compatible.

@Flatulenator

Yeah, maybe it was easier / safer to let the mob in, through a door otherwise they would have simply gained entry via windows etc, which some did.

They were dealing with a mob of anger and hatred, you can't defend easily against an do this at all costs mentality.

Either that or they were let in by allies on the inside.

I think it is down to fear, perhaps they feel they stand to lose a lot if anything other than white people are in charge, as people will be judged by the content of their character not by the colour of their skin. As the majority of politicians are white, those who are corrupt, failed to act, failed to listen and failed to respect others are doomed.

Conversations start somewhere, firstly finding people who are on the same page, fedi at present seems to be a safer place for this, get enough people here and we can make changes.

Even if we can't change gun laws, perhaps we can make a difference to education outcomes for minority groups, and eventually the number of minority groups who can get papers published.

The internet is one of the greatest collections of knowledge ever created, it is also the greatest collection of misinformation, once people can differntiate.

Donald Trump to be allowed back onto Facebook and Instagram

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64408306

"In a statement, Nick Clegg, Meta's president of global affairs, said the public "should be able to hear what their politicians are saying""

What politicianshave to say!!!, despite the fact that what Trump said resulted in the storming of the capital building to try and overturn an election.

Remember nick clegg was the leader of the lib dems and part of the lib / tory coalition in the UK.

I am logging off, so will be back tomorrow, nite all and take care

@flexghost

I watched Kenny Everett as a child, didn't do me any harm, not that I understood some of it. Now i think given he created Cupid Stunt if you re-arrange the letters a little, you will get something that clearly describes the people who drafted this bill.

@flexghost

Well hopefully a system will stop that from happening, should not really need it, surely politicians are meant to be well educated and intelligent,

on the other hand we have Trump
