Stop thinking of Twitter, TikTok, IG, (et al) as social media sites.
They are **Content Refineries.**
Like processed food manufacturers they take user content & extract the most addicting/engaging content. Brains eat it up but in an unhealthy “devour the whole bag of chips” way.
They make hyper-processed social media junk food.
Mastodon is more like a potluck. We're all bringing dishes. It's a mess. Kids are running all over. But we are, at least, real people sharing real things.

Did you know that Einstein’s famous quote about God “not playing at dice” was in a letter translated by the mother of Olivia Newton John?
Olivia Newton-John was the granddaughter of pioneering quantum physicist Max Born, who formulated the probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics.
ONJ's mother Irene produced the oft-quoted translation, from a letter in which Einstein expressed reservations about Born's ideas.
The moral of that story is next time vote for Musk as the top employee, so he can then fire himself.

SB 1440 will codify sex as “a person’s immutable biological sex as determined by anatomy and genetics existing at the time of birth and evidence of a person’s biological sex”
TN just passed a law preventing trans youth from accessing medical care
And a law stripping 1A rights by banning drag shows
When this heads to the Supreme Court and “people” will be defined as anyone non-LGBTQ+ – will anyone care then?
