Great stuff, however unless there are staff who ca use them, they will sit in a cupboard gathering dust,.

@harriettmb @Lazarou

Let me guess they all use the usual vile cesspit called Facebook to communicate and spread the mis-information.

@BNONews

I would hope this is an isolated incident, but given what has been happening i somehow fear it is the start of something far more sinister.

@TruthSandwich @barney @anarchosynthism@mastodon.social @JonChevreau

I didn't know what the flag meant back then, what was exciting was all the car chases etc. I can barely remember the show anyway.

@astro_jcm @AbandonedAmerica

This is really a difficult one, perhaps we need to make it clearer people can download all their data and then upload to a new instance and carry on. This is really important for a number of other reasons.

1. While interacting you may find an instance that better reflects your interests so decide to move
2. New users may want to explore and try things out first.
3. You may want to back up your data generally in case there is a problem with the server
4. You may be on a smaller instance, and get notification from the owner, that life has got in the way and they can't run the instance for much longer, so you then find a new instance and take content with you.
5. I think from a teaching digital skills to people who may not be confident with tech perspective, just suggesting people accept the default and sign them up, is probably easier for them to do, and easier for you to support.

@evelynefoerster

You are worth far more than that

@MamasPinkyToe

If you are going to another house on foot, bicycle or car, make sure you go to the right address, or you may get shot, not even that as it seems even kicking a ball to another house may get you shot if you try and get it back.

@chaoddity

A&W burgers are really nice,

@TruthSandwich @barney @anarchosynthism@mastodon.social @JonChevreau

Of course yes, the general lee confederate flag

I know this as I used to watch dukes of hazard backj in the 80's oddly from that I got the impression US card didn't have doors so people just climbed in via the window,

Innocence of how young children see the world.

@TruthSandwich @barney @anarchosynthism@mastodon.social @JonChevreau

At least if the GOP wins the election, they won't need to design a new flag to replace the stars and stripes, Hitler did it it for them, so why re-invent the wheel.

@flexghost

Every time I read about stuff like this, evil, bigoted people are ALWAYS on facebook, in the UK facebook is apparently used by Parents who have had their kids taken in to care, to gang up and threaten social workers and their families, Groups on facebook co-ordiate their vile hatred on Facebook. People seem to share all sorts of illegal or questionable content, use facebook to target and humiliate people, share mass shootings (cite New Zealand). This platform is meant to have policies that forbid this sort of thing, but they are clearly about as effective as trying to paint a wall with water, as in NOT EFFECTIVE.

Odd how Facebook with it's billions can't do something as simple as moderation, makes being part of the Fediverse that we are able to do two things, 1, admit it is not perfect here, and 2, we can moderate content far far better, or seem to be able to, because of 1, we are always looking for ways to develop these moderation tools and methodologies to make them better.

Fantastic work by all admins and moderators who care about this, keep up the good work.

@canadaehx Fast forward to Jan 6 2021 there was an insurrection incited by the former president The criminal. behind this attempted coup to overturn a democratic election is still free 4 years and also free to run for office again for a 2nd term.

How times have changed, we are apparently now more enlightened.

@piratesin

IIRC several years ago a Clampdown by Modi, resulted in a huge migrqation here to fedi, from people looking to maintain their freedom of speech.

Back then I was on Friendica, and watching all the excitment from there.
