Let the brain drain begin!

Ron DeSantis wants to be the poster boy for why a fascistic Florida would cripple Florida.

Next up - no out of state women choose to attend college or university in Florida. Businesses not already in Florida choose NOT to locate in Florida because no one of quality will relocate to Florida.

When Florida finally asks "Hey, how'd that giant hole get in our foot?", they can look to their governor. Florida's fatuous fascist fuckhead-in-chief.

My favorite part of dealing with the US government is their absolute refusal to use any technology less than 20 years old. 🙄

A grim milestone — scientists predict there's a 66% chance Earth will hit the 1.5C global warming threshold by 2027.

We need immediate action to phase out fossil fuels, halt deforestation, reign in corporate abuse, and support frontline communities + environmental defenders.

I applaud Disney's decision to cancel their billion dollar Florida campus project and employees' relocation. Of course various factors were involved, but in any case: BRAVO!

ChatGPT is really not very good at generating code. For simple, already well-documented stuff like, say, traversing a linked list, it’s OK. But get into more specific stuff like using APIs, and it’s very likely to just invent bullshit that SEEMS like it might work, and lead you on a wild goose chase.

Sixty-six Tennessee #Republicans seek the release of #MassShooter Aiden Hale's #manifesto.

#CovenantSchool sued to prevent its release as it contains the layout of the school and confidential information about its employees.

House #Republican Caucus Chairman, Jeremy Faison, told the New York Post his group doesn't "understand the apprehension".

Predictably, #mainstream #media continues sowing confusion by misgendering and deadnaming the shooter, who is a #trans man.

BT to cut 55,000 jobs with up to a fifth replaced by AI

bbc.co.uk/news/business-656311

If paying customers have a problem, they want it Fixed.

If BT replace people with AI, these expectations won't change, so any AI had better be able to help people, and not send them round in endless circles.

The Artemis 3 crew have got to play Walking on the moon, by the police on the moon,

@TomWellborn

What concerns me is that when Trump gets charged, hauled in to a criminal court and actually faces prison, he will summon his deciples to war. We could then see some real problems. Now that Twitter / FB have allowed him back on, it just takes one post to summon, granted he will then be banned, but by that time the seed will have been sown.

Of Trump faces dying in prison he has nothing to lose, then, he will be in a cell while Washington DC and other cities burn.

Apollo 10 launched #OTD in 1969 from Launch Complex 39-B at Kennedy Space Center.

The Lunar Module approached within 16 km of the surface before the crew returned to Earth. The next mission would deliver astronauts to the surface.

@mcnees

So apollo 10 did a moon orbit, 10 in Binary is 2, so Artemis is going to do the same as Apollo 10.

Artemis 3, binary 11 is going to do the same as Apollo 11

or is that far too a geeky observation?

Do politicians know what 'moves fast' means, it seems to take years for laws to be discussed till they are signed in to laws. We have a general election in both the US/UK in 2024, so I can't see much happening, unless there is cross party support, which is possible in the UK, but the US seems far to polarised.

Me every time I find a tutorial for something I need help with, only to discover it's actually a video and not a text with images:

Going out to get me some Penguins today:

"Penguin Random House is suing a Florida school district for banning several of its books, in the latest pushback by companies and organisations against “anti-woke” actions by US political conservative"

I’ve been writing about Florida, Ron DeSantis, and his anti-LGBTQ moves a lot at Law Dork, so I was grateful when @noahshachtman asked me to write for @rollingstone about two particularly awful anti-trans bills DeSantis signed into law today. Please read. rollingstone.com/politics/poli
