So once again the rich billionarie lusers who between them run websites that promote hate, misinformation etc, and facilitate so much misery for many. Are looking at holding a huge publicity stunt, which will no doubt generate huge income for a lot of people. Meanwhile there are millions of people who can't afford to but a meal on a plate or a roof over their heads. Oddly those people use these platforms and the benefit for them is their data is used to generate adverts for products they probably can't afford.
Imagine what would happen if they used their billions for something useful.
So it has taken the Justice Department 3 years to come to the same conclusion most people came to within 24/48 hours of George Floyd being murdered.
I am from the UK, people in the US know that the police are RACIST, ask any black person in the US, I am sure the question people actually want answering is what are you going to DO ABOUT IT?
I know that linking the GOP and common sense rather stupid. If they had any level of this they would realise that local issues such as water managent are usualy better done with local authorities making decisions as they know the area and land, know local experts who can advise on a local level but also can work with other experts and local authorities to coordinate efforts.
Texas Republicans have signed a law preventing local governments- including cities with populations into the millions- from self-governing. Water restrictions in a drought? Can't do them. Laws to prevent pollution? Nope. Local regulations for higher wages? Also no.

At least he accepts he has done wrong, and admits it. Unlike a former US president who insists he is innocent, blames others, and accusese everyone else of a witchhunt.

@zleap @KatM @cdarwin @chargrille Many Holocaust survivors are now in their 80s and 90s. In January 2021, 60 Minutes' Lesley Stahl reported on the effort underway to preserve the stories of Holocaust survivors even after they pass away using artificial intelligence.

This is some of the reality of working in schools
So long as there are physical books on the topic history can never be erased or re-written.
Surely you can only really avoid repeating history if you actually learn about history (and discuss properly) so you can avoid what happens by recognising when it is starting to happen again.
Every year, at the university at which I work, I have to fill out detailed financial disclosures.
There are rules, at my medical school, about what you can and can't accept as gifts from pretty much everybody. Amongst the things I have to report is when people provided me with substantial travel resources.
And you're telling me that the Supreme Court of the United States doesn't have a rule that would include disclosing a $100,000 flight in a private jet? 😐

Billionaires with financial stakes in auto or oil-gas industry keep killing high speed rail and public transportation!
Meanwhile other developed countries use trains to traverse multi-countries while we can't even cross one state!
Thanks
Yes, I agree here. It opens up a great opportunity to have an informed discussion with regard to what he has done and his attitude towards women and why this is seen as undesireable, perhaps also a discussion on how following tate could be awkward if an employer finds out via internet searches.
I remember back in 2003, just before we illegally invaded iraq. In some schools, the kids just went on strike and protested and the teachers just disciplined those doing so, other schools, teachers actually had a discussion on the issue with the students.
