It's always good to know what the facts are. The person who originally sent this idea out had good intentions, but missed a couple of key points.
Banning -45 from a 2024 run would take House impeachment and Senate removal, not just impeachment. Some of the other points need minor corrections.
At any rate, he needs removed. It’s not about the 8 days - it’s about letting our country and the world we aren't standing for it.
Today is a good day to call your U.S. Senators and House Representative and tell them to support impeachment. #RemoveTrump
Fact check: No, impeachment itself would not ban Trump from a 2024 run -

Is #Fediverse a safe space for people?
The developer of #Fedilab closed his accounts on #Mastodon because he was harassed by people who resented him for not including a block of Gab'n co on his app..
https://framagit.org/tom79/fedilab/-/issues/498
Gab is now out of Fedi, this happened thanks to admins maintaining proper instance block, not because of apps.
Remember that harassment is a major offense, no matter who's harassed. It is destructive. If you feel some behaviors are problematic, block, report, do not harass!
@TonyStark @NatashaRomanoff Because it's someone you don't like, you're pleased about it. I get it, but recognize the advance of corporatism is not something to applaud. Large tech companies getting involved in political issues and taking actions on those issues is pandoras box. Good luck when they turn their attention to something you like, which they will.
#aaronswartz would have been 34 today.

@zleap Good point. Though also keep in mind we are more of a "place for stem people to hang out" rather than a "place for us to have curated stem content"
The idea being that the vast majority of users want one instance as their home and only that one instance. As such if you are simply personally interested in engaging with adult content for your own enjoyment that is a perfectly acceptable reason on its own.

Thirty-six teachers have died of Covid-19 since the pandemic hit Kenya in March last year, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has said.
Kenya’s Teachers Service Commission (TSC) data shows that 209 teachers have recovered from the virus, 92 teachers are on home-based care and nine are hospitalised.
“All efforts are being made to ensure that all teachers under medical attention receive the best care so they get well and resume work,” said TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia.
Of the 345 teachers affected by the virus, 159 were male and 186 females. Teachers above 58 years and those with pre-existing conditions will work from home.

The Twitter purge is continuing. Even left wing media is being purged now. We all knew this day would come.
It's time we spread the word and make the fediverse rise up.

I think another idea could be using the platform for teaching, try and help people understand deeper about the fediverse and privacy respecting tools and free software.
But also support education in general.
Another idea for a federated service. Shopping network. Each account is a possible seller and/or buyer. Each instance is a shop. Anybody can search for goods on any instance. Buyers can follow sellers for goods updates. Buyers could follow other buyers for goods reviews.
