Slack trying to hide their security disclosure? LastPass pulled the same thing recently, but even more blatantly.

We need a searchable index of companies who hide their disclosures like this. It would be extremely valuable when doing vendor assessments.

#Twitter may lose its #SafeHarbor protection because it's not responding to #takedown notices for repeat #copyright infringers.

The article doesn't say so, but it seems that Twitter isn't responding to the takedown notices as US law requires ("expeditiously") because of the #Musk layoffs.

This is big. #SocialMedia platforms cannot operate in the US without a safe harbor from copyright lawsuits. It's as if Musk sawed off the wings of his plane to save weight.

I wish Friends of the Earth well. We must end dependence on fossil fuels for the sake of the young and of future generations. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-64165419 #climatecrisis #climatechange

tbh I don't care about quotes, the birdsite feature we should prioritise urgently is the ability to restrict replies, and to be able to do so retroactively; this would legit improve the experience exponentially. #FeatureRequest

DID YOU KNOW? In olden days newspapers and other printed materials were reproduced in small-scale on flat sheets of transparent photographic film called microfish, made out of pressed fish scales hence the name.

@glennf I'm reminded of early 2017 when the GOP found itself in control of the House, the Senate and the White House and couldn't manage to get anything done for months.

If you are not following yet, #Journalist Dan Kennedy is worth your follow. I too am locked on Twitter only going in to advocate for #Mastodon, hoping my buddies will come on over.. but look how hard @dankennedy_nu

We are essentially witnessing a domestic terrorist hostage situation unfolding in congress.
McCarthy will no doubt continue to sell whatever is left of his soul to the sedition caucus.
While amusing on some levels, also becoming increasingly dangerous for America.

Data alleged to contain the email addresses of more than 200 million #Twitter users is being given away for free on a hacker forum, reports say.

The stolen information includes email addresses used to set up accounts.

"unfortunately lead to a lot of accounts getting hacked, targeted with phishing, and doxxed".

I specialize in data migration services for a living but you won’t see me mention much about that here from this account.
I live in Arlington, TX USA

After an afternoon nap I went to check my social media and my Twitter account had been locked out. I had to verify myself via a phone text.
Some rubbish about 'Unusual activity'.
They wonder why people are moving away from that site!!??

@zleap @pomarede For me on my mastodon ios app, I can see a follow button when i clicked on a hashtag. Here is a screenshot.

@zleap @katecoldwind @kityates I work in health and social care (in business support/IT, not treating patients) but I see at first hand the problems that are occuring - the govt keeps outsourcing/privatising various parts of healthcare but not even providing sufficient funding, creating a crisis where no one wants to work in the industry as they can get better pay and conditions even in retail jobs or driving taxis etc (with less stress and travel requirements)

BREAKING: #Meta prohibited from use of personal data for advertising

Max Schrems: "Instead of having a 'yes/no' option for personalized ads, they just moved the consent clause in the terms and conditions. This is not just unfair but clearly illegal. We are not aware of any other company that has tried to ignore the GDPR in such an arrogant way."

Gotta love this Finally!
