Dear Friends of , :ablobblastoff:
I like her , her type . Her angry .

As we may know, comes in , not always to those who deserve; The , the , the by stander. The scythe cuts ,
, and .

is a day to , as the might say (not in this )

Just a to . We won't be bringing what we stand up in. Your coin for the is currency. You can try a sole, shoo sole, soul solo. No use. The row is over. The furthest shore empty.

Dear Friends of qoto matodon,

Here I am maybe ... My -fi is not working without an update. A likely story. I am not updating everyday. You were not working and now you are -fi ... and I have a 65000 word limit on this instance. I am in cyber hell, who is to blame?

Me probably 😀

IF… 🤣
If you can live without caffeine,
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining,
If you can understand when your loved ones
are too busy to give you any time,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can ignore a friend’s limited education
and never correct him or her,
If you can resist treating a rich friend
better than a poor friend,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can honestly say that deep in your heart
you have no prejudice against creed, color,
religion, gender preference, or politics,- Then you have almost reached the same
level of spiritual development as your dog!

Good employees don't quit jobs, they quit:

• Low pay
• Bad bosses
• Office politics
• Toxic workplaces
• Micro-management
• Feeling undervalued
• Lack of opportunities
• Zero work-life balance

It's 100% okay to leave jobs that no longer serve you.

Remember, it's important to be happy where you work. You spend a lot of time there.

@camille A few restaurants have jumped in with this, but credit due is credit due, and that image is from the Nelson Street Pub located in Pembroke, Ontario.

The shood(?)(shrug/hood) in my profile pic is made from these amazing angora goats’ hair (meet Jon Snow and fam!), mixed with Rambouillet wool my cousin-in-law has started producing this year. Was so thrilled to meet them my trip home last summer! Sooo soft, warm, and snuggly in these Canadian east coast winters❣️#knitting

#Saturday #Morning

Morning folks, how is everyone?

Plans for today involve coffee and meds, maybe some stitching. I really want to go to the farmers market to see the muffin man. I feel like I've not been out in ages, the air would be good, right now my body is laughing at that idea. Guess I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours.

Whatever you are upto today, make it what you need, be good to yourself, avoid the news, ignore the haters 😊

It’s #WorldHippoDay!

This gigantic herbivore can weigh ~8,000 lbs (3,600 kg), but don't think you can outrun it. A hippo can charge as fast as 30 mph (48.3 kmh)! That’s faster than an Olympic sprinter. Fun fact: A group of hippos is called a bloat.

@pooserville @courtcan @mekkaokereke Life shouldn’t be this hard and Black people shouldn’t have to work so extra hard.

I’m glad you figured it out. Black folk should be allowed to be as anti-social or grumpy as anyone else. ;)

If you're a cis guy and struggle with the soft tenderness you might have been discouraged from showing or even feeling when you were growing up, being very very sweet to a pet is a good way to reconnect with it I think

Dear friends of New computers,

I ordered a new base unit Xenta computer. Nothing fancy. Cheap and cheerful. No OS (operating system). Will be turning it into a work-equine .

Probably using Linux.
Ordered from ebuyer rather than the ubiquitous Amazon (nothing to do with the well know disappearing rain )

My first task on arrival today, all going well, will be reading the (if available). Finding cables, connectors, installing a CD-Rom. Getting used to the etc.

Wish me luck! You know it makes sense.

- been watching “Electric Dreams” SF TV series from the mad/genius/prophet Philip K Dicks
- sibling pruned my hair. I am passably humanoid.
- ate Lindt special selection chocs, one of the ‘5 a day’ (treats that is)
- had delicious microwaved scrambled egg with greek yogurt rather than milk) and tinned beans
instead of soup for tea/supper.

The deeper root cause is a belief in inequality: that some people deserve to survive, thrive and be happy more than others.

This explains sexism, racism, homophobia, capitalism, religion, patriotism, nationalism, fascism, genocide.

When my health - physical and mental - go downhill, I isolate myself (more than my usual level), I know its not healthy.

Had a good chat (via text) with a really close friend this morning. A couple of good chats on here too.
I still feel like an absolute bag of spanners, but I'm a bit more cheerful and motivated to get things done.

Death by Cross Stitch is now the plan for today!

Don't worry, its the name of a pattern, my MH isn't that bad for a change 😉

What was that? Did you see? I think that was a Nazgul!

Today I made it to Weathertop, so I am definitely ahead of schedule which is great. Fundraising wise so far I’ve got enough for 98 malaria treatments OR 937 sachets of food for malnourished children OR 2.96 days if a doctor in the field. #charity #fundraising

There's also nothing preventing people from taking photos at a nude beach for example. Does that make it ok? Of course not. But by tech bro logic it would on the people at the beach to put up walls and check everyone's bags for cameras.

Your neighbour is going through your mail while you're at work? Tough luck. Why didn't you buy a high-security mailbox?

Someone used your open-source code in a way that the license doesn't permit? Guess you'll have to pay a lawyer for an extended period of time to get that settled, sucker.

Someone is recording conversations you have with a partner while you're outdoors? Silly you! Should have stayed inside with the curtains closed for any semblance of privacy.

This "anything goes unless made impossible" logic falls apart at the slightest examination. It's obviously not how human societies work at all. Yet, these people expect that they get a free pass on whatever they think is a good idea.

Not too long ago a life of rural simplicity was the norm for many. Today, a complex life is the ‘norm’ which we are all expected to accept, and a simple life is a choice that we make and an aspiration that we work towards. Living simply today is voluntary - it is also an act of nonconformity and may even be seen as a radical act of passive resistance – it’s really up to you!
