I have an idea... lets make all health insurance free but also make sure every hospital has one of these elevators installed... That way only the smart people, which by USA standards are the only ones worth saving, can actually get to the doctors office.

@admitsWrongIfProven They sure do, and good point, if a sighted person with instructions cant figure this out I can only imagine how hard it would be for the blind.

@admitsWrongIfProven it also doesnt help that the picture has very different buttom configuration... the more I look at this the more confused I get.
@freemo I think that's either the purpose or the upper eschelons that mandated this are beyond hope...

@trinsec had the closest reasonable guess I heard of, its meant to be confusing to keep senile people in or something. But if thats the case its a really stupid design as even senile people can be lucid and this only works because **no one** can understand it;
