Getting really flustered, can't seem to "thread" my toots by making one toot and then replying to it. Toots 2, 3 & 4 seem connected, but not to 1, even though I started in toot 1.
Desperate feature request to help threading toots together please 😖

2, 3, & 4 don't seem connected either, all of them appear as individual toots to me, none of them appear as replies below any of the others. Are you using the website or an app? Can you describe how you're doing the thread?

@digital_carver I'm in Tusky on Android. I open up toot 1 and press on the reply icon. I write toot 2 and post. I open up toot 2, press reply do it again.
I'm not sure what I've done wrong 🙁

As @indianautistic says, it's good practice to make the replies unlisted, just avoid spamming timelines, but that's separate from the posts not being threaded together. I made all my posts Public (not Unlisted) just to test this out too, and they're threaded together despite not being Unlisted.

At this point I don't even know if I should delete and redraft them all again unlisted, I feel like I'd make even more mistakes.

@Jessica @digital_carver it’s ok! Your workaround is cool and maybe newer threads will be fine but you don’t have to redo stuff
