It could be me but it seems like a lot of younger people these days are voting more progressive left-ish in favor of humanity and looking at a more open future

I do hope we still have a world to vote for when our time comes..😟

If we keep going like this it feels almost inevitable we have to start all over again

Follow

@stux whaat do you mean "when ouyr time comes" ... its your time right now... please stop burning it down, this is all you guys right now (and by you i include myself as im the older end of the newer generation taking over)

@freemo That's not true

Most of the gov's exicst of "older people", look at yours.. dude..

@stux Yea, but thats because younger people voted for them... The demographic of the people in government is MUCH older than the people voting for them.

So your choosing them (us)

@freemo Voting doesn't mean shit if your gov is dying, or believing the most ridiculous things because I guess they have dementia..

@stux Why not... your (us) the ones voting the people with dementia... means a lot... maybe if people llistened to me when I said "dont vote for racist dementia ridden joe" we wouldnt have him... but noooo, im a nazi for pointing that out or something apparently.

@freemo You're kidding me right? :bloblaugh:

I did not even meant Joe in this case lol!

It's fucking Trump man..

The world is laughing and crying at the USA at the same time for that dangerous fascist clown

@stux

I mean, pointing our Joe is racist and senile, isnt to say that Trump isnt also racist and, well not senile but an idiot... sure.

But Joe is our president, not Trump, and while the lesser idiot, the greater in terms of senility for sure.

@stux

And I agree the world is laughing and crying at us right now.. first for electing an asshat clown like Trump, and then for electing a racist senile asshat like Biden in the very next go... with one incompetent president after another we look like fools.

@freemo And the whole party situations plus the house doens't make it better :sadlinux:

The fucked thing is.. there is a war going in Ukraine that depends so much on the US that indirectly has a lot of impact on us here etc

@freemo But comparing Trump and Biden is like tyres and space rocks or something :blobcatgiggle:

Trump may be stupid, he is so dangerous if he gets his way

And no offense but it seems in the US everything is possible, good and bad

@stux

I dunno their both dangerous in different ways... Trumps issue is that he doesnt try to hide how evil he is... the result is that causes people to riot (either for or against him, as we saw it from both sides)... and yes thats dangerous...

Biden the problem is he is just as evil, but he is smart enough to try to hide that evil... and he gets away with it (even if its obvious to people like you and me that he is just putting on face)

@freemo Well, that not "evil" i think..

Threatening on Twitter with nuclear war against another country does fit that desc more, and that's just one example

I never heard Biden about "nuking some country" or "having mega huge big ass red button" if you know what i mean

Trump is mega dangerous on the world stage, not only within the US

The way he talks about world leaders for example is just absurd.. like a tyran or madman

@stux

For reference here is the quote we are discussing regarding Trump's thread of nuclear war:

> North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

I certainly agree with you thats wrong and make no excuses for Trump speaking like that as president.

Now how does that compare to Biden who spent the first 10 - 15 years of his career trying to keep segregation alive so his kids can legally keep going to all-white schools... in his words because he doesnt want his kids to grow up in a "racial jungle"... and he was largely successful in his efforts to keep segregation alive too...

Id say of the two bidens impact is far far worse than the example we just gave of trump.. for one biden wasnt threatening he carrier it out and people suffered for a generation at the hand of his horrible racism.

@freemo I did not know that 😉

But ofc i agree that's bad shit crazy! And not to talk it down but it's hard to "compare" it with openly threatening countries with nuclear war if you know what i mean

there's dangerous on multiple levels I guess

@stux I mean... its hard to compare overt racism and the oppression of people with a threat that could lead to a global war... I agree neither should get a pass..

But also, lets look at the results... Trumps threats in this case literally had no negative outcome (despite its potential).. mostly leaders just laughed at him and in the end there was no nuclear war (not an excuse its jsut, the facts of what the consequences were)...

Biden however... he caused 10-15 extra years of segregation in our schools and a huge population of minorities who were unable to get a proper education because of his racism... bidens actions had real quantifiable harm... Trump, at least in the example of threatening nukes, did not...

That said Trump did worse things than threaten nukes and overall was a lot worse than that one example... was he worse than biden overall... i dunno.. he certainly **sounds** worse than biden.. but as I said I think biden is just smarter and more able to hide his evil... trump you know is evil the second he opens his mouth.. biden you have to do research.

@stux Stux you can make all the right sensible answers but that will not affect the "biden is as bad as trump" posters. Don't waste your time and energy! :nkoWave:

@stux Voters who support dementia-riden Trump keep the "cancer" alive that's killing our gov't. Time for the over seventy generation to walk away & let others govern.

@stux yea our general polarity causing deadlock i a huge iussue too..

That said it is designed that way, so that when people stop talking and coorperating you dont get a tryanny of the majority, no side can function without compromise....

Its a good thing, because right now we are so dysfunctional the USA **should** be deadlocked, we are dangerous with one side in unilateral control or a lack of bipartisan compromise

That said its bad for ukrain and I admit thats a problem.

@freemo Both are great examples of well, waaaay to old and senile people to lead a country with so many people..

I get that experience is a thing, but where the F is the age limit in public places? It's freaking absurd to see such elderly people have such important functions with so many consuequeses

And still Trump is (trying, i guess?) to run for president.. how the hell do people make that possible.. :amaze: I have no words

@stux The fact that Trump might actually win after his last HORRIFIC go at it is, I agree, laughable to say the least.

I dont fully agree with you that there should be an age limit. Its not about age, its about the senility... like Trump wasnt senile, he should of lost cause he was a piece of shit, not his age (or just being an idiot more generally)...

Biden is senile and i would have said he should not have won not because of his age but because of his obvious mental decline....

Lets just hope we get someone new this next round who is better than either of these asshats.

@freemo I also asked that a little while ago if there isn't a test etc for that but i got some good answers

"What is senile?"

it can be interpreted depending and such, and an age limit is just clear as day

@stux The problem is a person can live to 100+ and never show senility.

Senility is well defined in medical terms and can even be seen on an MRI... it does not have to go hand in hand with being old... yes you need to be old to get it, but being old doesnt garuntee senility either.

The way i see it if someone is senile it shows... everyone can see without much doubt biden is senile... so at that point it should be the voters who have the good sense to pick someone else... the fact they dont doesnt mean we need a law, it means we need to teach our children to be better voters.

@freemo True, true, i don't know :blobcatgiggle: i am no docter, nor even close lol

We can teach them to vote "better" but if there's nothing "better" to vote for it doesn't mean a thing and won't help either

Ugh.. it's freaking hard to see to turn the USA into a circus with scary clowns.. you guys need to be the example, not the laughing stock

@stux

The modern term for senility is dementia. and it comes in multiple forms, Alzheimer for example is the most common form people know. But yea this stuff can be seen on MRI, some people get diseases that cuase dimentia in old age, others dont.

> We can teach them to vote "better" but if there's nothing "better" to vote for it doesn't mean a thing and won't help either

This statement is wildly confusing... who you have to vote for is... the result of who you vote for... My presidential choice is the result of who i vote for at the party level... who is availible at the party level is the result of who i vote for at the local level, who is availible at the local level is the result of who i vote for out of the counsels and new comers... You act like they are forced to some small selection of people to vote for.... **you** (us) get to select every person at every level every step of the way.... so its still on **you** .. you (us) choose to vote for this people from the local elections on up... we put them on the ballot, and then voted for them.

@freemo Haha :blobcatgiggle:

Ofc i know WE are the ones WE vote into office etc but my point is that when you can only vote on crazies there is no choice :bloblaugh:

These days we "vote for the lesser evil" but that insane! We should have difficulties for chosing people on how good they are

It's turned around is what i mean

if 80% if the people on the ballots are madman how big do you guess chances are the sane people are getting into office

@stux but what im saying is that because we get to place the people on the ballot int he first place, we are the ones to blame for only having craxies to choose from.

If we had simply picked sane people for our ballots then we would have sane people to pick from... remember by the time we see the ballots these people have went through dozens of lower tier elections to get there... its those lower tier elections that decide if the crazies or the sane ones bubble to the top.

@freemo @stux People in the US and many democracy around the world don't always have a say in who get voted in. Sometimes money does. It takes a lot of cash to run a race, and some people are just too poor for that.

@louisrcouture

when someone guys an election with cash thats just a fancy way of saying "they used their money to convince people to vote for them"... that isnt people not having a choice, that is people having 100% of the choice, and letting that choice be bought..

For every vote someone buys someone else had to sell their vote.. So you can just as easily say voters had 100% of the choice,a nd they chose to sell their vote unethically rather than to use it.

@stux

@freemo There is still a choice someone couldn't make, cause the big donors did not want to donate to them, so that is how we end up with not good choices. @stux

@louisrcouture

Yea but in a society where votes cant be bought then no one **needs** even a dollar in donors... In fact if we saw a person take even a dollar and spend it on advertising we would refuse to vote for that person for the immorality of trying to game the election with money, it would ruin their career... only leaving the people who refuse donations for consideration...

We dont do that, and thats our fault as voters (not the people spending money)... we should

@stux

@stux

> if 80% if the people on the ballots are madman how big do you guess chances are the sane people are getting into office

100%, if voters were responsible.

They arent responsible though, and thats what im saying... **we** are 100% guilty for this situation because we choose to not pick the 20% sane people... thats on us.. cause we know damn well who they are, we just cant be arsed to get involved at lower levels.

@stux At this point i'd just settle for something that isnt a lizard in a human skin suit (obviously im half joking)

@stux I hope the damn thing is nuclear :)

By the way you ever play screeps?

@stux I did its just slow as well... like reallly slow to load.. its slowly facing inthe robot now after 2 minutes

Show newer

@louisrcouture @stux Pete Buttigeg (sp?) was my top choice last election. He didnt wow me and was not an ideal candidate... but he was the best IMO.

@stux Trump was a disgrace. #Biden is doing a good job. That doesn't mean he's flawless, but he's not purposely firing people up with bigotry; he's not trying to use his position to stay in power. @freemo

@cgervasi

Seems the only part of that we agree on is Trump then.

I mean I do agree with "but he's not purposely firing people up with bigotry".. he does make sure to hide his evil (which in some ways is worse).. so I do sorta agree that he doesnt intentionally rile people up sure, largely because he tries to hide how horrible a person he is, trump doesnt.

@stux

@freemo
If #Biden's evil, he has me fooled. I think he's a morally good person. I think if he abided segregation long ago, it was an honest mistake.
@stux

@cgervasi

> If 's evil, he has me fooled.

Yes as I said in my original message that is what he is good at, lying and fooling people. So yes I am not surprised he has you fooled, and others.

As people know, and I've told this to @stux I think before too... Biden is an old family friend. He has been going to my parents house for dinner since before I was born. It very well may be that me knowing him personally makes it more obvious to me than others.

> I think he's a morally good person.

He most certainly isnt.

> I think if he abided segregation long ago, it was an honest mistake.

I mean it seems hard to judge 10 - 15 years of pushing segregation when he specifically says its because he wants his kids to not go to school with other races "racial jungle" as he puts it... to me that goes well beyond an honest mistake.

It also seems very obvious that he hasnt changed other than to go from directly being racist to exploiting minorities instead... but his comments seem quite clear he isnt any better a man and is still just going to use minorities to his own advantage.
