A few weeks back we got a new king bed. Didn't like any headboards anywhere. My wife liked the style of an ash sofa table I built recently, so I took the same approach building this headboard. Long top and bottom pieces are ash, the rest is red oak....all from our land. Did every step of the process from timber to finished piece. Stain is General Finishes Antique Cherry, matching all our other bedroom furniture. #woodworking
