@ottocrat It also creates hardly readable posts. Whatever we write on @GlasgowLovesEU's twitter it's properly copy/pasted over and then adjusted for mastdon. Affer all the communities are different.
What a shame is that #quotetweeting won't work, for example quoting our live stream and then when requesting that feature being #mastodonplained by random strangers that "this is not twitter or go back".
@berndporr @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU
Given that its most common use is to dunk on people, I find in practice I don't miss quote-tweeting. There's something very passive-aggressive about it a lot of the time. Also, i don't miss the tendency for high-follower accounts to use it in place of replying.
@berndporr @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU That is to put it mildly an elaboration on your part of anything I've actually said. I said I don't miss a feature based on ways I've seen it used. However I did however say "most common use". That was indeed inexact. I'll change that to "the use that leaves the most overwhelming impression on me." I'm going to disengage now because you're obviously upset.
@pieist @ottocrat @GlasgowLovesEU Thank you.
