The title of this thread is called "Angry Black Women".
On January 20, 2017 this picture was my Facebook avatar. It is Michelle Obama at the inauguration of the 45th president. About a month later, a white female person I know texted me "Can you change your avatar photo, now." Which I did. The following is a selection of the Angry Black Women avatars I used since. These Angry Black Women changed out lives for the better.
@OneGrenouille sure. hope that helped or was at least reassuring 😁
@OneGrenouille yeah, I think there's a fair bit of people reevaluating how we use content-warnings in the fediverse at least as far as microblogging. I think your understanding (as I understand from a sibling thread) is basically right: CW for things that you know of as triggers for people dealing with trauma or maybe addictions or phobias so they can decide whether to engage.
Besides the above, I think it's more about how you want to curate your image and engagement since most will have more agency to disengage outside of those (non-exhaustive) sensitive categories.
@OneGrenouille I'm not sure what you mean. Like, I think you can just say it unless you're trying to segregate it from other things you post, but your profile pretty clearly indicates that chronic illness is part of your story (I assume that's what you're referring to about "things not going great").
If you're looking for people with similar experience, you can also try creating a group -- guppe groups, I think you can just @ your desired group name and it's created automatically -- and start posting to it, tagging, maybe talking about it in your other communities.
It's #BlackHoleFriday!!! Here's a thread about black holes from me, your friendly internet astronomer 😊

The Sketch VS The Final
I have not presented to mastodon yet the fact that my cat knows to ring a bell whenever she has an urgent need that I must fulfill! #MagicalMinka
I taught her to do it because her previous way of notifying me was pulling any paper out of my shelves and destroying it. this is much less destructive.
she used to ring for all kinds of things, but ever since she's chosen my roommate over me she only returns to my room to ring when she's hungry or to complain that my roommate's door is closed.
I've just released a new version of REBOUND which includes an improved way to plot orbits. Check out this example notebook to see what you can now do with just a few lines of code: https://rebound.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ipython_examples/OrbitPlot/

Inside Job near-spoiler
finished part 2 of Inside Job. I initially saw the show as a kind of a Rick and Morty wannabe with a conspiracy theorist twist--I still do, but I think it has been executed well so far. Also, the ending was gutting. Knowing Reagan at that point, it was the obvious choice, but I thought the way it was written and portrayed really sold the pain behind it. Really adds depth to the character as well.

ESO's Very Large Telescope got sharper infrared eyes! The new ERIS instrument just finished its test observations.
ERIS combines the capabilities of two previous instruments, NACO & SINFONI. All 3 use(d) adaptive optics to correct for the blurring of Earth's atmosphere. But ERIS's new adaptive optics module, working together with the VLT's adaptive optics facility, deliver sharper observations and with better sensitivity
