Idea of the day:
A personal Fediverse AI filter/recommender bot(?) based on a locally running LLM (e.g. Mistral or Llama2). You tell it what your interests are, it will store that as text. It will look at your TL and tell you about posts that seem to match that. If it misses something, or suggests something that is not interesting, you tell it and it will amend the list of interests accordingly. You can always inspect and edit the current list.

I've been getting solicitations from UNICEF and Save the Children, Doctors Without Borders.
Mentioning any assistance to kids in Palestine could get me in trouble under the idiot's charge of "anti-semitism", but Palestinians are semitic, folks.
...and a UN associated charity has come to my attention via KALW's Tangents Radio, and that's the Maia Project. Focus is on supplying clean water.
If you're inclined to help out, this one doesn't spend money on promotional mailers, so they'll make the most of donations IMHO.
