I think the saddest part of this story is how Uri Geller's career took off after he was publicly humiliated on national late night TV. While the Amazing Randi's career never took off to the same extent even though Randi could not only easily debunk Uri Geller but he could make Uri look like an idiot at the same time.

Since being on mastodon, as I slowly move out of the bird app, I have found that I’m missing the #indigenous and #Navajo community that made it difficult for me to decide to leave Twitter.

Absolutely mastodon has a more positive and welcoming environment here, which I’m loving. But Im in search of #indigenous and other #bipoc accounts.

I just found out a couple of old friends passed away last week. Condolences aren’t needed; that’s not why i’m posting. It’s just that I realized how many good people I’ve lost touch with (who aren’t online acquaintances) particularly since covid. Years fly by. Kinda wish I had taken inventory of the people in my life sooner & made an effort to reach out to more of them. It sucks when you realize it’s too late in some cases. Social media can be a poor substitute.
