Maybe if official feeds from actual news sites were relevant and interesting instead of a firehose of shit that they expect you to pay for, people wouldn't feel the need to get their news from social media.
Like, why does one news house even need to cover both entertainment AND politics anyway? Shouldn't they specialize so people can get what they want? It feels like NYT or WaPo are trying to be entire cable packages in a world of cord cutters.
@AriCohn Please tell me you were riding a sled when you took these photos.

Hard disagree. You'd think such a law would be used against Carlson, but if history has shown us anything, it would instead be weaponized against BLM leaders and the like instead.
Fascists try to use the force of government to shut down speech. Please don't give them shiny new toys because you're scared of fascism.
The best answer to bad speech is more good speech.
@EubieDrew @freemo I've seen this happen before. A hard refresh fixed it. In most browsers on Windows, you can do a hard refresh by holding down the ctrl key when you click the refresh button.
@joelmartinez You do realize you're describing Star Trek, right?
@freemo That makes sense. Thanks.
@freemo Tusky. I have been using it a bit more lately. Do the mobile/web versions conflict in that manner?
@Nick_Craver More importantly, I think they'll discover how many people are tired of paying for their ever-shrinking library for whom this is the last straw.
I recently did a massive redesign of a 3d printed magnetic stirrer I designed a few years back. Here's a brief writeup showing what changed (and why) and the evolution of the design process. https://www.cartesiancreations.com.au/design-revising-the-magnetic-stirrer/
@nsarwark That foreword is downright spooky in how accurately it described my level of recollection.
@koherecoWatchdog For their own actions, yes. Not for the TOS enforcement of a third party they have no control over.
@koherecoWatchdog When the politician blocks people, yes, they're responsible.
When Twitter chooses to block someone from their platform, no politician is responsible for that.
@koherecoWatchdog That's certainly the motte you keep retreating to when I call out the preposterous nature of your bailey.
@koherecoWatchdog 😂 🤦♂️ wow....
