@danjac @Daojoan Yeah, but on the plus side, the employees of those failing rich boys get free in depth lessons on what not to do as well.

@esther @sasha92 On the contrary. I learned a great deal just being an employee of a failed startup and used that experience to great effect later in life.

Few of us succeed at anything on the first try and that's fine. It's how we learn from it that matters.

Biden should say it loud; "Re-elect me with one more senator and the House, and I’ll sign a bill to codify Roe in January 2025."

Say it over and over.

@flaki Hence why so many of us rebel and go for straight HTML/VanillaJS.

haven't seen a slow-speed chase this thrilling since a white bronco in '94

Now that progressive Democrat candidates have beaten almost every single one of you "Moms For Liberty" extremists on every ballot, notice how we don't ban a bunch of books your kids enjoy, misgender them on the way to their favorite sport, or demand to know the exact shape of their genitals like a bunch of fuckin weirdos.

@peterdrake If you want a brilliant political game that *does* cover such possibilities, check out Suzerain.

Wild opinion, but the majority of public school parents are normal people who work for a living and do not want genital-obsessed, home-schooling, social media stunting, adults in charge of their kids' education. thedailybeast.com/moms-for-lib

“No matter how cruel or restrictive Mr. Biden’s [#immigration] policies are, they will never be enough to appease his critics. They also aren’t working. He can continue to do everything Mr. Trump did and more and still be the “open‐borders president.” So why try? Instead he should stake his legacy on something different: legalizing immigration. Let more immigrants come humanely and legally.”

@Itty53 @Daojoan Wait, what? The vast majority of mammals sweat.

My understanding was that our endurance was due to our mental capacity to plan long-term and remain focused above our base instincts and push ourselves beyond normal limits for the expectation of a reward.

All of these people are asking restaurants what's gluten free as if there's not piles of cardboard sitting right out back.

@emilygorcenski To be fair, we're mostly giving that credit to the Republicans for being so crazy and radical that they pushed normal people left.

I doubt there will ever be a political cartoon as accurate or timeless as this

Barbarity, Civilisation

@selzero @giantfuzzyelephant @Roadwarrior29 Meta doesn't make operating systems. So, to do what you described, they'd have to be exploiting backdoors in other companies' software, and that would be big news, and also the kind of claim that would need to be backed up by a serious source.

@realcaseyrollins Not for me. A minimum requirement for my vote is being able to acknowledge reality. Vivek seems more interested in inventing his own truth to create cultural divisions he can exploit.
