@skrishna It does feel like such folks want to have their cake and eat it too.
I definitely refuse to engage with anything I think is a cross-post, because I don't expect that engagement to be reciprocated like I do with organic posts.
@gpowerf Or it's just because their founder made the biggest and most public business error in recent history and is selling off their stock like crazy to try to stay solvent.
@joelmartinez Pretty much exactly where I am too.
Considering moving out of this state and just letting it sink.
@briannawu Really struggling to feel the good vibes dems are putting out down here in Florida.
@mishari @lupyuen It may become the norm in more authoritarian states, but that just means that the free speech platforms will abandon those states, and they'll be replaced by state-run propaganda machines.
For those of us who live in countries that value free speech, it should never become the norm, because the person who wrote the speech should be held accountable for it, not the medium by which it was transmitted.
@skanman Or you could spend your life building things instead of profiting off of their destruction. 🤷♂️

@2018Patriot You can "switch" instances, but it's implemented as a data transfer and a forwarding address.
As for your second question, not sure. I'd bet there's a list somewhere.
@tilton That only applies for your account, though, right? It's like a fine-grained/customized version of muting?
@couts Likewise.
@mmasnick Leaving the warning on for replies by default also seems like a huge mistake that will hopefully be rectified soon.
@couts Yeah, my needle seems to be falling around a similar midline.
They're like car blinkers. Yes, you have to expend a miniscule amount of effort and thought to use them, but if they prevent demonstrable actual harm, then that is easily outweighed.
@jamdoodles This might be the most chaotic-good action I've ever witnessed.
