For motherboard, literally the only thing I look for is "does it have the connections I need". I've never really had any issues other than that (and the rare manufacturing defect). That said, the brand you've picked is a good one, so it should serve you well.
@briannawu I feel like you're overpaying on the motherboard, SSD, and case. You could probably find a reasonable equivalent for those for half of what you have listed there.
Other than that, it seems fine though.

@freemo Depends on your acceptable margin of error. But if you want the level of precision necessary to measure latitude dip, you definitely have to take such things into account.

Citation needed. In my state, the Republicans are the ones passing laws about social media that are getting slapped down by federal courts for being unconstitutional. Same in Texas and (iirc) Missouri.
Where are dems trying to pass laws to take down protected speech from social media?
@freemo @mjambon It's a little more complicated than that. Magnetic deviation can be caused by anything that produces or alters the magnetic field, including trace ferrite in a nearby hill, nearby power lines, or even the phone in your pocket. Then you also have other issues, such as magnetic variation (the difference between magnetic north and true north), and even additional counterintuitive errors caused by acceleration and turning.
For example, in every airplane cockpit, you'll see something like this (to compensate for local fields caused by electronics):

@dpnash @AlexCorby @pzmyers Lol, yeah, that's a great example of using a tool the wrong way. Trying to get specific facts out of a generalized language model is like trying to hammer a screw: Sometimes it works, but a lot of the time, it does more harm than good.

But, even if it is a subcontractor, that doesn't make it any less Boeing's fault. Companies are responsible for their subcontractors like managers are responsible for their employees.
