I think I'm going to just print the @Acegikmo LHS vs RHS meme out and hang it by the desk, because I'm stuck doing Houdini -> UE5 and just couldn't find an easy reference for it anywhere else.

Surprisingly handy #gamedev reference, this, if you're ever doing tools work

Haha ex-Twitter employees have created their own Mastodon instance 😅

"This server is intended for current and previous twitter employees and their friends/family. We filter signups to try keep the server focused for community reasons." - https://macaw.social/about/more

Welcome to the Fediverse! :)

#Mastodon

OMG I just realized Mastodon is what Twitter would be if it were Canadian

#degrees #employers #employees #salaries

picking a mastodon server to join is easy -- just think of it like you're allying with one of many families in a war-torn medieval land, each with their own histories, feuds, laws, blood rituals

💯 “Donald Trump has a very “fragile ego” and if he is challenged in a primary or he feels disrespected” he will “do whatever he can to tear the entire Republican party down” Mary Trump tells @mehdihasan

"We don't even need Georgia!"

"Let Texas freeze!"

"If [Southern State] elects [politician I don't like], then they deserve what they get!"

Please try very hard not to be this person. This language gives people the impression that you don't care about the most vulnerable people, beyond their ability to vote for things that make your life more comfortable. I know you may not mean it this way.

Georgians need Georgia. No one deserves to freeze. It's OK to care about other people.

Perfectly captures the mood for #geeks like me.

Maciej Rebisz (Senior Concept Artist at CDPR) appreciation post. Dude does incredible space exploration art in his off-time. #art #space

Consistently impressed by design decisions by Mastodon devs. Sure, there’s some usability rough edges compared to the bird site. But on balance the reasons for the general vibe here are clearly intentional decisions, not an accident. 🙏🏻

A friend of mine commented the other day after me explaining what the #fediverse is (he'd never come across the term, despite knowing about #mastodon), that it was more web3 than the crypto stuff was 🤣

I have to agree...it's a much better vision for how the web can evolve, even though many of the concepts have been around since, or even before, web 2.0

That sense of exhilaration when you see a Twitter friend join Mastodon and you're like HI OMG, MAYBE IT'S HAPPENING
