This is quite an opening letter from @AkivaMCohen to Elon telling him to pay up the severance he owes employees. https://twitter.com/AkivaMCohen/status/1598487532764798983
I truly don’t agree with the pervasive criticism that departing Twitter 2.0 is an act of privilege. Under the new management it immediately became a shoddy, unsafe platform. At the very least, who wants to continue using a crappy product when there are perfectly good ones elsewhere? I understand people who feel they *have* to remain for whatever reason, but it’s hardly privilege to abandon a sinking, junker of a ship.
This #procedural #gamedev #terrain is starting to take proper form now. Still needs a lot of work, though.
#Procedural #terrain for #indie #gamedev. This is 4KM in each dimension, and took a little under a minute to generate. Anyone want to take a guess at what the colors are visualizing?
The enemy of your enemy is NOT your friend. #Apple is the largest natural monopoly in the tech industry. They have far too much power with their App Store lock-in.
Apple caves to the demands of repressive regimes in the US, Israel, and China. Apple actively deplatforms sex workers. Apple exploits poor workers in China and the global south.
We can praise some of Apple's privacy decisions (e.g. standing up to governments pushing for crypto backdoors) while also recognizing that no corporation will EVER have your best interests in mind.
We must bring all tech companies to heel with regulation. We also need to build alternative digital ecosystems that don't rely on monopolistic private companies.

I'm a Democrat. But my primary allegiance is to absolute justice—not to a political party.
President Biden urging Congress to pass a bill to impose a contract on railroad workers w/o paid sick day. That's unjust. Biden is wrong. Railroad workers want 15 days paid sick time but 4 main Corps are offering only 1 personal day:
•Union Pacific (13%⬆️profits)
•CSX (15%⬆️)
•BNSF (16%⬆️)
•Northern Southern (17%⬆️)
The problem isn't satisfying workers in need—the problem is we can't satisfy billionaire greed

Earlier this year, I exposed how a judge in West Virginia pulled out his gun on lawyers in his courtroom.
He lied to me repeatedly. We proved it anyway.
He just resigned.

The Online Safety Bill introduces mandatory age verification on content platforms. Non-profits using community content moderation will have to collect more user data. Adults and children will be exposed to privacy risks as there isn’t capacity to hold data securely.
The Wikimedia Foundation warns of the Bill's impact on Wikipedia and other open knowledge platforms.
