@atomicpoet And Damn, I hope they make the #MuskRat PAY!!!!!
Twitter has been sued in Germany for holocaust denial.
This is not a small thing.
In Germany, holocaust denial is a crime!

I used to live in Texas. I would get so mad at dudes I knew that downplayed the confederate flag, until I realized that their textbooks literally lied about the reasons for the civil war!
Showing them the articles of secession blew their mind. Some stopped rocking the flag. 👍🏿
Imagine how much less racist the US would feel if 10% of all confederate flags just disappeared. Disappeared!
So, DoNotPay's one big claim to "success" is that it gets you out of subscriptions where companies make it hard to cancel. Except... it turns out that DoNotPay has made it next to impossible to cancel its own service for some users! OpenAI released a tool which purports to detect AI-generated text. At the highest end of detection, it labels text "possibly" or "likely" AI-generated. 21% of human-written text falls under "possibly" and 9% of "likely" does. That's 3 in 10 students being defamed and/or harmed.
Just like other providers of academic surveillance software, OpenAI states that their detector "should not be used as a primary decision-making tool".
It will be, though. And harm will follow.

Oh lord Netflix's account sharing policies are going to explode in their face.
"How Will Netflix Know if You’re Not in Your Home/Primary Location?
Netflix uses information such as IP addresses, device IDs, and account activity to determine whether a device signed into your account is connected at your primary location."
"Traveling users who want to use Netflix on a hotel smart TV, company laptop, etc. can request a temporary code from the service when signing in."

A supermarket in #Illinois has to pay about $400,000 after they stole wages from 49 of their workers. Nobody will go to jail for this theft and nobody in the media gives a shit. This is the real crime wave in the US.
Does anyone use a #MacMini for their #Plex media server?
>> I am looking for opinions on optimal configurations for running Plex with Apple Silicon?
ex: I currently run a 2012 Intel i5 Mac Mini with 16gb RAM and it runs decently... was thinking of upgrading to a new M2 Mac mini and hoping I could get away with just 8gb RAM this time.
Boosts appreciated!

The new #MacMini dropped network packages on ethernet and as I really didn’t feel like troubleshooting this and had some time as I was watching gigabytes if data run trough a pipeline I decided to reach out to #Apple chat support.
This was a quick, easy to follow and super friendly experience. I never expect something like this from tech support but I’m pleasantly surprised when it happens!
NEW: I'm calling on the SEC to investigate #GeorgeSantos for violating federal securities law.
Mr. Santos illegally operated as a broker without a license, raising funds from unsuspecting investors for Harbor City Capitol, a 17 million dollar Ponzi Scheme.
