I think it's glorious that there's now a Mastodon server operated by people who used to work for Twitter (macaw.social). I could have never imagined it when I started in 2016.

A reminder that we asked young people to turn out and they did. Latino voters leaned into Democrats. Black men voted overwhelmingly for Stacey. Abortion was top of mind for women. Black women continued to show up strong. The Party should not compromise on the priorities of those voters. They hold the future.

Mastodon is the NPR of social media. "Please support your local instance!"

I didn’t know this, now I do. I figured out how to filter out words I don’t want to see, like Twitter and the former President. I’ll be using block, reporting and filters if I have to. To filter words go to Preferences, Filter, Add. Simple lol.

Your Twitter handle can be registered by anyone 30 days after deactivation. If impersonation is in your threat model, lock your account and park it.

The next time someone tells you that America isn’t a racist country, just remind them that this nation is willing to accept treason from a white president but not healthcare from a Black one.

3. Click on your desired hashtag.

4. You will get the below picture at the top of your screen.

Filters are your best friend. If you don’t want content about Elon Musk , go to Preference > Filters and make one for "Musk".

Or #Twitter. Or anything you don't want to see.

Those posts will be hidden, and filters can be time-limited. So if you just want to filter out football chat during the world cup, you can do that.

Mastodon has changed how I think. Twitter now seems like a server that doesn't want to federate with anyone else, and that everyone else has blacklisted. I'm in awe of how much sense that makes.

With the Twitter reinstatement of the former US President who attempted to incite a fascist coup after losing an election, now would _really_ be a good time to stop cross-posting your Twitter RTs here.
