What does it mean to evacuate a US hospital? From the sending side, first you have to find a receiving facility for a patient, and arrange a nursing and doc handoff report. Then you need to find transport, package the patient, get the necessary records packaged, and get the patient on the road. Repeat for every single patient. Simple right? Well, for starters, many US hospitals run at/near capacity 24/7, so you can’t just dump your whole patient census at a single facility.
