Yesterday I was part of a group that peacefully protested the expansion of a coal mine in Germany. We were kettled by police and then detained but were let go later that evening.
Climate protection is not a crime.

Totally inaccurate!
The blockchain is not responsible for any of that; of itself, the blockchain is just another computer algorithm. What you are firing off about is cryptocurrency. I agree that is an evil that should be stopped immediately. However, the blockchain can be, and is, used for a variety of other purposes it is a mere coincidence that it is used as the security system in cryptocurrencies.
The thing that wastes that enormous amount of energy is the mathematical problem that the inventors of cryptocurrency require to be solved to generate a Bitcoin or whatever else the inventors of such currencies choose to call their tokens. That has nothing whatsoever to do with the technology of blockchains!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your magnificent efforts to save this planet from the moronic politicians who "run" it!

They'd hate it for you to RT

This photograph shows the bow of a yacht in Girvan harbour with symmetrical reflection on the river. The addition of the reflection from the Girvan lifeboat in the background gives a patchwork quality to the image.
Lovely shot - I'm jealous!

The Home Office is seeking the removal of our video of Joan's exchange with Suella Braverman.
But we are standing our ground.

This is fascinating! The Braille Institute has developed a font - free to download - that's designed to be clearer for readers with lower vision.
An example of one of the aspects of low legibility that they tackled attached.
It's named Atkinson Hyperlegible. Atkinson was the Institute's founder - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Robert_Atkinson
Here's where you can read about the font and download it: https://brailleinstitute.org/freefont

Not once over the 13 last years has your party cared enough about patient safety to "enforce minimum service & safety levels."
I've seen patient die in horrifically understaffed conditions for years - in corridors, on the floor, in toilets, in cupboards. Yet you've done nothing. https://twitter.com/grantshapps/status/1612855932886867968
Did I forget anything?
I have often wondered if it would be a good idea to either stop people inheriting their parent's fortune more or less completely or to severely limit it so that each citizen has to make his or her way in life without the 'piston' of family money!
That can't be right - Mick Lynch isn't public school educated and never debated at the Oxford Union. How dare a bloody pleb like him run rings around us toffs
Yes - the system in Luxembourg is sort of private. The doctors are all self employed; I'm not sure about the nurses in hospital, I suspect that they are fully employed.

Detest tories. Subscribe to green, leftish radical politics but not to any particular political party!.
Love the EU and all it stands for, moreover, I spent the last 10 years of my career working at an EU agency.
Enthusiastic photographer, especially wildlife and most especially butterflies.
Slightly knowledgeable gardener.
Atheist; loathe almost all religions and pity the people deluded enough to follow them. I make exceptions for Buddhism as it isn't really a religion in the strictest sense of the word as it doesn't postulate the existence of any god, and Jainism which is the epitome of peace.
For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.
