Atheist; loathe almost all religions and pity the people deluded enough to follow them. I make exceptions for Buddhism as it isn't really a religion in the strictest sense of the word as it doesn't postulate the existence of any god, and Jainism which is the epitome of peace.
For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

There's something I don't understand in this article,
allegedly, there were posters on the wall in radiology giving the times for results to be returned:
"A teacher from the north-east who asked not to be named said she borrowed £350 for an MRI scan. 'At the appointment, there were posters on the walls stating times for the return of results: three days for private, three weeks for NHS.' ".
I live in Luxembourg where I have needed (unfortunately) numerous CT scans and more recently an MRI scan. In every case. after the radiologist has done his thing which takes from 20 to 40 minutes, I am presented with a DVD containing the images from the CT scan or MRI scan along with the radiologists report.
If they can do it in a maximum of 40 minutes here, how come it takes a minimum of 3 days in the UK and that's only if you go private!

It’s clear #PrinceHarry believes he’s on a mission to say that the #tabloids must be held to some degree of accountability & that they should have a better relationship with the truth. You may disagree with how he’s going about it but the mission in itself seems honourable to me.

Palm Oil in Vegan Food
...but vegan products are often packed full of this, and that's if they're not full of soy you can't trace the provenance of. By all means reduce your environmental impact through dietary changes, but I must say most of the pre-prepared vegan foods I've found do nothing of the sort, they merely replace one unsustainable form of diet with another, and they're the very antithesis of any kind of holistic, sustainable approach to diet. Palm oil is the clear indicator of this.
I am so impressed, I discovered how to set up dictation in French In Word 365. To my great delight, it understands my accent in French absolutely perfectly and produces quite impeccable French from my witterings!
I was already overwhelmingly impressed by its ability to interpret my witterings in English but to be able to do the same in French is extraordinary.
When I compare the abilities of the current version to those exhibited by previous versions; i.e. completely useless for all practical purposes, I am truly astounded at the progress that Microsoft have managed to make in this domain. It is now possible to dictate a full A4 page or more of text without the dictation system making a single mistake!
