@freemo Actually, this could have practical applications too when you want to inspect the mouth for some medical reasons. Let's say you want photograph the teeth for instance.

@PunaisetPimpulat

That'd be a huge fallacy. It's not about preventing the kids from getting sick, it's about slowing the rapid growth.

@fribbledom Yeah, you're right. I just took a better look at the available data and children seem to be fairly safe after all. Therefore it would seem that there's no reason to close down schools at the moment.

@fribbledom isn't that the percentage from the whole population? Elderly people and young children have a significantly higher mortality rate than the rest of the population.

This is my yearly Arch Wiki appreciation post. What an incredible source of information ❤️

Googled a problem that one of my users is having this morning. Found a forum post with someone describing the exact same issue. Follow up post says "It's OK, our IT guy fixed it".

Now I want to know what the hell their IT guy searched for ...

Does anyone have any pet topics not talked about? I'm not talking about fringe science. But science that isn't sexy to the mainstream.

@daz @neildarlow@fosstodon.org Ok, so it sounds to me that they're violating the spirit of the licence, rather than the letter. Or are they actually violating some part of the licence, which would make it possible to take legal action?

@amolith@masto.nixnet.xyz I think the culture is changing and finally the society is ready for this shift. Nowadays when you see a good video/article/post/whatever, you immediately think of giving it a thumbs up to communicate your appreciation. This sort of behaviour pattern can also extend to financial transactions.

@popey Since raspberry is technically an aggregate fruit, perhaps we could borrow that term for a while. Proper biologists/botanists out there might have a better suggestion.

Upgrading to #Fedora 32 #Silverblue was again a piece of cake. Downloading 1GB of deltas, rebooting, and voilà, Fedora 32.

Can I get a collective review of the new PC that I'm building for myself? In addition to the following, I'l be using my existing nVidia 750Ti. (Next one will be AMD, but I can use this for now)

Was installing a game on my daughter's #PC today and wanted to see how fast the download was going. Discovered that the #Gnome search box will leverage the calculator app to do conversions for you right in the applications menu. Tested and works without internet too.
