The front as of the end of the day on November 25, 2023 - DeepState

▶️ Bilomoskovsky, Siversky and Bilhorodsky sections - no changes.

▶️ Svatove section - Katsaps are advancing near Lyman Pershy and Synkivka. They are trying to gain a foothold in the latter, and the fighting continues.

Unfortunately, the Muscovites managed to regain their lost positions near Ivanivka.

▶️ Bakhmut direction - the enemy is conducting offensive actions on the outskirts of Khromove and on the road from Bakhmut to Ivanivske.

The enemy continues to try to improve its tactical position near Klishchiyivka and Andriivka.

▶️ Avdiivka sector - the enemy is actively attacking south of Novokalynove, with partial success. The enemy was storming Stepove, the vanguard managed to reach the western outskirts of the village, but successful stabilization measures by the Ukrainian Armed Forces corrected the situation. The Katsaps tried to get to Avdiivka Coke at least once. South of the filter station, the enemy had partial success. The situation is the same in the industrial area in the south of Avdiivka, where the enemy managed to advance. The enemy continues assaults north of Vodiane, mostly infantry is involved. Every day the enemy is trying to enter Pervomaiske from Pisky and fails every day.

▶️ Berdiansk section - no changes.

▶️ Zaporizhzhia section - the situation is difficult south of Robotyne. It is difficult for both sides.

▶️ Tavria sector - no changes. Katsaps continue to hit Krynky with KABs and artillery, but the marines continue to hold the bridgehead.

Analytical note. The enemy continues to advance in many areas, most attacks are repelled, but not all. Recently, we have seen some positive dynamics. The Katsaps are giving up more often, surrendering somewhat more often, and it is harder for them to assemble assault groups and motivate them.

But it's too early to rejoice, as the total number of troops allows for a steady flow of personnel to storm the positions of the Ukrainian army. The enemy was seriously planning to take Avdiivka on November 4, the day of "unity".

The decision to create a working group on the construction of fortifications with the participation of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital Transformation is very important for our fight. The group plans to change the approach to their construction. The enemy is probably the world's best expert in engineering, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces should not lag behind. We hope this will finally change the deplorable state of our engineering and fortification strategy.

From "The Analyst":

HORLIVKA OFFENSIVE EXPLAINED

So why did Ukraine attack at Horlivka this past week or so?
We now have an explanation.
The Russian northern pincer attack on Avdivka is supplied from Horlivka while Donetsk supplies the southern and central part of the front.
Ukraine struck several areas inside Horlivka including a key bridge which forces the Russians to use roads far closer to the frontlines.
The Ukrainians attacked a wide range of targets destroying some 60 military vehicles using drones alone and the whole point, eventually, was to launch the attack on the high slag heaps - which they took quickly, forcing the reserves in Horlivka to engage them and not move into the northern pincer.
So it is as I suggested, a distraction, it’s an effective one, and it appears to be working. From a Ukrainian perspective they have cheaply and effectively stuck a pin in the Russian operations in the northern pincer and caused unexpected mayhem.
Sounds like a good thing to me!

Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

90 years have passed.

Our prayers will be heard today. And our words will be heard in defense of justice. And our solidarity will be visible - the solidarity of all free people who will light memorial candles as a sign that Ukraine will never forget its people, whose lives were taken by the Holodomor genocide.

And when, on the night before the day of remembrance of the victims of genocide, the work of our air defense system sounded, when the weapons of our soldiers work to protect the lives of Ukraine, when our emergency rescuers eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling and help people, we know that Ukraine will not be broken, conquered and destroy

Ukraine will survive. And it will be free. And he will walk the path of freedom together with those in the world whom he respects and who respect our state. It is only our choice - and it will always be so.

Today, prayers, the desire for justice and the fire that symbolizes our national memory will unite the Ukrainian nation. We will never forget what Ukraine had to go through. And we will certainly stop the new genocide that Russia, which inherited the criminality of totalitarianism, brought to our land.

Eternal memory to all victims of Holodomor-genocide! Eternal gratitude to all those who fought and are fighting for the freedom of Ukraine! 🇺🇦

I personally think that the mere fact that we are Democrats is great news. It means our elected officials get the job done.

Furthermore, President Zelenskyy revealed that additional air defense systems will be transferred by these partners to fortify the defense of Odesa.

"We've already made a precise request to our partners, and I'm pleased to confirm that agreements have been reached. In the near future, this region will benefit from robust air defense systems," Zelenskyy added.

Zelenskyy also engaged in discussions regarding bolstering international support for Ukraine and the efficacy of the Ukrainian initiative "Grain from Ukraine" with speakers and representatives from the parliaments of Belgium, Ireland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Estonia.

🇫🇮 Finland will not negotiate with Moscow regarding the situation on the eastern border , - Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo

The Finnish Prime Minister spoke to the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat about the closure of all but one of the border crossings with Russia.

In 2016, a similar situation on the eastern border was resolved by negotiating with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We are ready to discuss at the diplomatic level. There has been no political discussion with Russia since Russia attacked Ukraine," Orpo said.

According to him, the situation will not change until the war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine ends.

They know they are going to die. Why not die drunk?

RUSSIAN ALCHOHOLISM SKYROCKETS - DYSFUNCTION FOLLOWS

Russian figures on alcohol sales show  a dramatic rise in sales over 7.6% with much of it being consumed by military personnel.
The favourite is vodka but another popular consumable is ethanol (obtained illegally) which is exceptionally toxic  and more than twice the alcohol levels of vodka.
New mobilised units are said to be drunk to the point of 80% of their numbers when first delivered to front line units after just three days (supposed to be three months) of training. Most units don’t issue weapons to new arrivals because they simply can’t be relied on.
Official registered alcoholism rates in Russia apply to a staggering 5.8% of the population.
The process of sobering up new units takes as long as three weeks. Mobile phones are taken, isolation from outside sources follows and they slowly get sober.
Yet one of their constant concerns is how soon they can get home and how quickly they can spend their money getting drunk.
Yet there are darker complaints. Troops are regularly disciplined if they don’t do even the smallest things as ordered, they’re thrown for three to four days into open pits, often naked and denied all water or food. If they want to get out they have to find a shockingly high 400,000 roubles to their commanding officer.
That’s more than they’d earn in six months if they were fully paid, which they rarely are.
This in turn leads to demands for more mind-blanking alcohol on the military black market. This is often controlled by the officers who discipline them.
Like so much in Russia it’s about how corruption is circular and everyone is involved in extracting cash from whoever they can. There is always one primary victim - the lowest paid and those with least authority.
The massive increase in barrier units deployed around Avdivka and the amount of force used to get troops into battle has been noted by Ukraine and many intercepts,  validated by POW’s.
The commodity that Russia seems to see its manpower as rather than as humans and the dehumanisation of its men from recruitment to death is truly extraordinary.
It starts from the top and works down. It’s a state of mind, the troops are seen as dumb and useless drunks worthy of nothing. They’re an exploitable profit centre. They start to realise this but they don’t live long enough to do anything about it. That much the officers seem quite capable of ensuring.
Russian military process allows the exploitation and destruction of humans as commodities and nobody cares about them. The war is a profit making exercise for those in command. It’s a terrible system with no end in sight.
Russia is beyond corrupt, beyond immoral, beyond salvation.
