So there is an article about chinas progress in renewable energy:

I think this sounds rather cynical, given our (western countries like europe, us) slow progress. Wouldn't "We need to do better" be the more important thing to say here?

So Reddit rolled out an anti-user and anti-mod campaign, the protests died down again (mostly)...

Now most subs look relatively normal, but feel a tad boring. Didn't see anything worth commenting on this month.

So, what does everyone else think? Am i just biased because i disliked the companies actions, did the most interesting users leave? Any other observations about changes on reddit?

When an app asks for permissions, the OS should not only let you answer yes or no. Every category should havev a "yes, but feed the app fake data" option.

Today in Labor History July 3, 1883: Franz Kafka was born. He died at age 40, of tuberculosis, before any of his major works were published. He was born to a middle-class, German-Czech Jewish family, but declared himself an atheist by the time he was a teen. As a young man, he participated in the Klub mladých, a Czech anarchist, anti-militarist, and anti-clerical organization. Supposedly, he wore a red carnation to school to show his support for socialism. Much of his fiction explores themes of alienation, guilt and power, and is often characterized by protagonists faced with bizarre and often incomprehensible bureaucratic nightmares. His own life was filled with anxiety and self-doubt that provoked him to burn roughly 90% of his own manuscripts, and much of the 10% that survived was lost or never published. In his will, he instructed his friend, and fellow writer, Max Brod, to destroy his work. Brod ignored this request and helped get “The Trial,” “The Castle,” and “America” published.

So i've heard about scrotus trashing equal access to education.

Since outside action would be problematic, i was at a loss what to say.

Then i remembered this:

Since we (at least the usa and europe) decided it was ok to deliver weapons into a warzone, i guess it would be best if we all delivered weapons to the Navajo and other tribes, so they can take back their land. It would stand to hope they would make better policy decisions.

So what's new in german politics? Nothing fundamental i would say.

We had CDU (neoliberals purporting to be conservative) mostly, and when they mess up too much, the SPD (neoliberals purporting to have social values) took over. They then proceed to mess up even more (biggest blow to our social system was by them + green party) to get the CDU back on track.

Now, the AFD (neonazi party which is rather silent about also being neoliberal) won a local election, and our minister of the interior Nancy Faeser (SPD) is worried about the economy. Good job, telling people they don't matter, exactly what will drive more to vote AFD.

So, in conclusion, the SPD still works hard at passing the scepter, just this time to neoliberals that are also neonazis instead of the usual.
