We are the same length away from World War II as the World War II generation was from the American Civil War. You're welcome.

> You see, if somebody robs a store, it's a crime and the state is all set and ready to nab the criminal. But if somebody steals from the commons and from the future, it's seen as an entrepreneurial activity and the state cheers and gives them tax concessions rather than arresting them. We badly need an expanded concept of justice and fairness that takes mortgaging the future into account.

I agree. I think we have a better chance of removing him than we have of expanding the court. That's not to say that we shouldn't try to expand the court, just that I don't think it's likely to happen.

During the pandemic we had tele-health, UBI via stimulus checks, employers supporting work from home and practically eliminated the flu because people wore masks in crowded places.

We really touched greatness and gave it all away to return to the status quo.

Is that just on the computer with the ad blocker, or are they doing it to your phone too?

With my advancing age, I like to keep my mind active by plotting revenge

Hydric Acid has been found in our water supply. Hydric Acid is an odorless acid with a pH of 7 (higher than any other acid!). Inhalation of this substance can cause suffocation, and under cetain conditions, the vapors can cause blistering of the skin.
If you are concerned about the presence of Hydric Acid in our water supply, please call your Congressperson and tell them we need more funding for public education. Together, we can beat this.

Ooh, does it have a sinister name yet? Can't use it to spread F.U.D. if it doesn't have a sinister name.

@slcw
I agree with everything you said, except for the part where you said "It sucks that this guy was killed".
It would have sucked a *lot* more if he succeeded.

It sucks that this guy was killed, but his death was completely preventable, and a consequence of his arrogance and hubris. The people of North Sentinel Island are completely isolated from the rest of the world, by choice. They've never been exposed to the diseases of the world, and they don't tolerate visitors to their land. This guy put the entire tribe at risk of death, just so he could proselytize and impose his religion on them. His death was an act of self-defense.

Public education certainly has some problems, but charter schools are a scam, even more so when they are basically disguised parochial schools.
And have you seen the textbooks they use for home schooling? OMG!
And one more thing. Did you listen to the educated when they told you to wear a mask and get a vaccine? Trump didn't, and neither did his worshippers.
Education is a vital part of the human experience, and if it is seen as an indicator of class, that is a fault of the system, not a fault of education itself.
I wish for, I long for, I yearn for more ducation, but I can't afford it. Am I being classist because of that?

I have just been requested to commute three days a week 135 miles away each way from my home (I have not moved) to an office I was never required to attend before the pandemic starting end of September.

@e_urq While that is so absurd that it is funny, still in all seriousness, Fox must be stopped.

@birdpoof Maybe Kirk was thinking about La'an when he decided not to kill Khan.
