Old school tech people:
Having a source of hot water of unknown temperature (unknown in advance, that is, I can measure the temperature in real time) and a source of cold water (also can't tell the temperature in advance), how would you mix it to get the output at the temperature you want?
Calculating the ratio is pretty easy, so I was thinking some needle valves a microcontroller could control, but I can't find anything like that on the market.... Any ideas? 🤣
Ehh, I would use a bimetal valve controlling the strongest stream of water and controlled by the outflow.
@useless_idiot would prolly work, but seems too complicated to implement, given that I'd prolly need to craft the valve and I really suck at metalworking, leave alone precision stuff 🤣
@useless_idiot @ThatCrazyDude there are such valves, we have one. i'll look it up later!
@ThatCrazyDude @useless_idiot it sits behind the hot water tank to flatten temperature spikes from the solar system (can well exceed safe temperatures). it's sourced by the hot water tank and tap water and provides the hot water source. theres a thermometer on top (but seperate device) to check the output temperature.
@ThatCrazyDude @useless_idiot sorry for potato quality, it's in a corner almost behind the tank ;)
@bonifartius @useless_idiot I'd much appreciate it. Thanks!
