Old school tech people:
Having a source of hot water of unknown temperature (unknown in advance, that is, I can measure the temperature in real time) and a source of cold water (also can't tell the temperature in advance), how would you mix it to get the output at the temperature you want?
Calculating the ratio is pretty easy, so I was thinking some needle valves a microcontroller could control, but I can't find anything like that on the market.... Any ideas? 🤣
Ehh, I would use a bimetal valve controlling the strongest stream of water and controlled by the outflow.
@useless_idiot would prolly work, but seems too complicated to implement, given that I'd prolly need to craft the valve and I really suck at metalworking, leave alone precision stuff 🤣
Well, there is a thing called a "elektromagneetventiel" which can be put into a 1/2" pipe and which can be analog controlled by normal 12V DC.
As a sensor you buy a thermocouple which is very flexible in installing, but you'd have to measure microvolts for that. A thermistor is a bit bigger and annoying for installation but easier as a analog controller.
Put the whole mess together with two or three (for the t.couple) opamps, a potmeter and some batteries.
Have fun!
@useless_idiot @ThatCrazyDude there are such valves, we have one. i'll look it up later!
@bonifartius @useless_idiot I'd much appreciate it. Thanks!
